On Saturday June 19, 2021 a couple of the Jervis Bay and Districts volunteers had the opportunity to meet with the Hon. Fiona Phillips MP and the Hon Linda Burney MP to showcase Meals on Wheels in the Shoalhaven.
Sue O’Brien showed Ms Phillips and Ms Burney around the Jervis Bay & Districts kitchen including the new storage pantry and commercial freezer.
During the visit Mrs O’Brien had the opportunity to discuss the potential changes to the current funding model for Meals on Wheels. These changes will have an adverse affect on all Meals on Wheels services in NSW. Mrs O’Brien expresses her thanks to the Ministers for their time and for looking into the potential changes.
